Congressional Uproar Over Bonuses Just Another Dog and Pony Show
Published April 1, 2009 | The Wall Street Journal is reporting, today, that members of Congress, both Democrat and Republican, gave $9.1M in bonuses to members of their staffs.
Really? I thought they were outraged that anyone would receive a bonus at an under-performing company, being funded by taxpayers. Are they going to tax their staffs’ bonuses at 90%? Surely, the company they run (The United States) is not performing well. (read more...)
